New technology could save money and green Dubai airport

CAVOTEC will use the Dubai Airport Show to launch its new air conditioning technology.

UAE to install biometric face recognition system

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) plans to install a Biometric Face Recognition (BFR) system at all entry points in a bid to enhance homeland security, Gulf News reported on Monday.

The system was launched July 14 at the Abu Dhabi International Airport and will soon be installed at all entry points of the country.

Executive airport in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) announced Tuesday it will develop the Middle East’s first executive airport at Al Bateen military air base amid a growing number of corporate jets flying to the Emirati capital.

The 54.4 million dollar executive airport will be located 10 km from Abu Dhabi city centre, said ADAC at the Farnborough Air Show.

Abu Dhabi Airports Company announces executive airport

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) announced on Tuesday, it will establish the Middle East's first dedicated executive airport at Al Bateen military airbase just 10 kilometres from Abu Dhabi city centre, GN reported.

The Bateen facility will be developed as an exclusive corporate jet facility and ADAC will invest more than Dh200 million in additional facilities at the airport, which until now has been a military airbase.
