2,40,245 passenger checked in or out Dubai International Airport between July 30th and Aug 1st., according to Assistant Director of Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Al-Mualla.
On July 31st, he added, 83,474 passengers were logged in or out Dubai International Airport taking out the previous record number of 81,607 passengers which was set on December 5th, 2008.
The latest passenger statistics by Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation, or CAPA, revealed that Dubai handled 3.36 million passengers in June 2009.
Dubai's passenger traffic has gone up by 5% over the past six months and the airport recorded a notable 10.3% increase in June 2009, recording a year-on-year double-digit growth.
